GVP Impact Series II
Configuration
- Built: around 1991/1992
- HD: SCSI2SD v5
- RAM: 4MB
- ROM: Latest GVP faast V4.15
Trivia
- Was delivered with a Fujitsu 54MB SCSI HD and 2MB of RAM. The HD was still working when I refurbished the extension.
Restauration Works
- Cleaned and whitened the case top
- Removed flash rust from metal case frame
- Upgraded the firmware to the latest version found on the internet
- Changed the internal power cable from 5.25" type to 3.5" type
- New SCSI ribbon cable
- Replaced HD with a SCSI2SD v5
- Extended RAM from 2MB to the maximum of 4MB
- Modified the board so it is powered by the Amiga, and does not need a separate PSU any more
- Removed the case fan. It was never active because of its loud noise, and now it was colliding with the SCSI2SD board.
- Replaced all case screws. Many original had damaged heads, one was missing.
