Restauration Works
Restauration was carried out from July thru September 2021
Replaced the keycaps with white replica. The case wasn’t yellowed at all and only needed some soap water.
Replaced all electrolytic capacitors with Panasonic (up to 10,000h lifetime) or Würth Elektronik (up to 5,000h lifetime) ones.
Replaced the floppy drive with a CenturionTech GOEX on pills floppy simulator + OLED display
Replaced the hard drive with a SD to IDE adapter and a raiser board that fixes the “LED always on” issue.
Replaced the cheap ESCOM sticker with a replica Commodore A1200 badge.
Replaced the original LED board with custom made LEDs (HDD: red, FDD: green, Power: blue).
Extended the system with a HDMI output, and an ACA1234 68030 turbo board.
Case was skewed due to a badly fitted keyboard frame. I removed some plastic noses on the left side, the keyboard now fits perfectly. I hope the plastic will adapt to the new position again.
Replaced many missing screws.
