PDAs (Personal Digital Assistants) are the forerunners of today’s smartphones.

With phonebook, notepad, and calendar functions, they were useful tools for organizing your daily life. Some of them even allowed you to install apps or software modules. The only major difference is that you cannot connect a PDA with a cellular network, mainly because it wasn’t capable of transporting data at that time.
