  • Was sold in a bundle of two broken PSPs. My first intention was to keep them as spare part donors, but then I felt pity for the poor machines.

Restauration Works

  • Original LCD was broken and replaced with a replica (multiple times)
  • Moved components into a clear orange replica case
  • Replaced power jack with a new one
  • Replaced blown LCD backlight SMD fuse
  • New battery, as the old one was missing
  • Installed Infinity patch and LME CFW

History

  • 2024-03-20
    • UMD drive tested and confirmed working
  • 2023-11-28:
    • Finally mounted a new LCD
  • 2022-12-22:
    • Replaced the SMD fuse. It exceeded the limits of my equipment, but I managed it. The backlight of the first LCD still stays dark, so that LCD is defective too. I guess that I caused a short on the backlight connector when I tried to fix it, blowing the fuse. For this reason the second replacement LCD also stayed dark.
  • 2022-12-03:
    • Replaced power switch with replica
    • Tried another LCD, but backlight still stays dark. I suspect I blew the backlight fuse when I replaced the LCD.
  • 2022-11-26:
    • Removed LCD with tiny scratches in favor of a new one (this LCD is used in the black model)
    • Power switch lever broke off
    • Backlight of new LCD stays dark, seems to be dead-on-arrival?
  • 2022-11-13: Refurbished, moved into a clear orange case
  • 2022-10-13: Replaced broken LCD
  • 2022-10-09: Date of purchase
