Poppy 9015

The Poppy 9015 is one of the first color video games on the market.

These devices were sold in Germany in the end of the 1970’s, named Poppy 9015, Mustang 9015, Sanwa 9015, Unimex Mark IX, or TV-10 Color.
This Poppy came with two controllers, and two game cartridges (ball games, racing games).
The main console itself has no CPU. The full game logic is inside the individual cartridges.
Can also be powered with 6 size D batteries.

There have been eight game cartridges on the market. The 9015A was enclosed with the main console. I own the following cartridges:

☑ 9015-A: 10 ball games (“Cassette mit 10 Ballspielen”) - supplied standard cartridge (AY-3-8610)
☑ 9015-B: motorcycle racing (with four different kind of races) (“Cassette mit 4 Motorradrennen”) - with original packaging (AY-3-8760)
☑ 9015-C: tank battle (“Panzerschlacht”) - with original packaging, Mustang brand (was not listed at Poppy) (AY-3-8710)
☑ 9015-D: car racing (for 1 or 2 players) (“Rennsport”) - with original packaging (AY-3-8603)
☑ 9015-E: fight game (six different fight styles) (“Kampf-Spiel”) - cartridge only (AY-3-8606)
☐ 9015-F: hunting game (“Treibjagd”) (AY-3-8500)
☑ 9015-G: submarine (“U-Boot”) - with original packaging (AY-3-8605)
☑ 9015-H: shooting game (“Schießspiel”, requires rifle and won’t work on modern TV) - with original packaging (AY-3-8607)

I could not find anything about “9015-F”. It seems that this cartridge does not exist, so probably my collection of cartridges is complete now!

- Purchased the Mustang 9015C cartridge in original packaging.

- Purchased the Poppy 9015B, 9015D, 9015G cartridges in original packaging.
2023-04-01:
- Purchased a second bundle, with two more game cartridges (9015A and 9015E). It’s meant to be a spare part donor, and for further completion of my game collection.
