This is not actually a game console, but a portable music player.

  • Harddisk: 20 GB 1.8" IDE (original), now 128 GB MicroSD via adapters
  • Remote control (with 128 x 64 monochrome LCD)
  • Battery: Li-Po 1300 mAh (original), now 1700 mAh
  • Firmware: Rockbox

Trivia

  • Also provides optical digital input and output, which is unique for portable music players.
  • I still own the full set, including the remote control, protection bag, and original sales box.

Restauration Works

  • Replaced worn battery with quality replica.
  • Replaced defective HD with a stack of ZIP-to-CF, CF-to-SD, and a 128 GB MicroSD card.
  • Installed Rockbox, to make use of the full 128 GB storage.

Known Issues

  • Clip broke off from remote control due to old age.
